nextMEDIA Toronto is an intensive two day event of networking, learning and strategizing. It attracts Top Executives from Advertising, Broadcasting, TV Production, Media Buying and Interactive Agencies.

The conference offers a plethora of ways in which to both learn and build partnerships for businesses. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear visionary speakers from communications, production and broadcast rant lyrical, meet key executives Face to Face and attend interactive workshops in leadership, design, multiplatform production and more!

The Canadian New Media Awards recognize, celebrate, and give all out props for the accomplishments of individuals and companies in the Canadian digital media industry, in 19 prestigious award categories.

We're looking for motivated, enthusiastic people to fill the following volunteer roles:

We rely on our volunteers to help us maintain this high level of professionalism. We provide clear guidelines so all personnel understand what are the expectations while working at the event. • Treat all the people you meet – delegates, other festival workers, venue staff, suppliers – everyone – with respect and courtesy.
• Be punctual. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled shift, or as instructed by your supervisor.
• If you know you cannot perform your scheduled shift, please call the Manager of Operations & Logistics as soon as possible.
• The hallmarks of nextMEDIA personnel are courtesy and consideration; please refrain from profanity and excessive slang.
• Dress code: Black top, black pants, black shoes (no sandals please), Volunteer ID badge (provided on site).
  • Please present a clean, neat professional appearance to the public.
  • Keep your jewelry, makeup, perfume/cologne understated and tasteful. Please be aware that some staff or attendees may be allergic to the chemicals in perfumes and make-up, so apply lightly.
• If you smoke, indulge only on your break, out of sight of delegates and in designated areas. Please use breath mints and wash your hands before returning to your work area.
• Be familiar with the emergency procedures prior to your first shift.
• You may not attend any nextMEDIA events, other than those authorized by your supervisor
• Volunteers will not use the conference for personal networking with the delegates.

Any volunteer who does not adhere to the above standards or otherwise compromises the reputation of nextMEDIA Toronto may be immediately excused from his/her responsibilities and dismissed from the event.
