Judging Process

From the entries submitted into the competition, judges independently review each site to determine first of all if the site or product meets the criteria for the category in which it was submitted.

Judges are selected for a category based on their familiarity with the subject area. The judging criteria are as follows:

Product– Judging Criteria
  1. Storytelling (originality, interactivity, strength of characters, game logic)
  2. Visual design (use of audio, visual and text)
  3. Usability (navigation, info architecture, interrelation between platforms, use of the medium)
  4. Revenue generation (profitability, commercial potential, ability to sell)

Advertising & Branding – Judging Criteria
  1. Impact and quality of public perception
  2. Visual design (aesthetics, graphics, use of audio, visual and text)
  3. Usability (navigation, info architecture, interrelation between platforms, use of the medium)
  4. Revenue generation (profitability and commercial potential, ability to sell)

Business – Judging Criteria

  1. Competitive Advantage
  2. Market Attractiveness
  3. Management effectiveness and organization
  4. Financials

Each site, product or individual is rated from 1 to 5, based on how closely they match the criteria defined for the category they were submitted in. The top 3 entries are selected as finalists. In case of tie, the jury hosts will select the finalists.

From the list of finalists, the winning entry is chosen, again based on how closely the category criteria are met. If a tie exists in this case, the jury hosts will select the winner.

Judges are expected to declare a conflict of interest where such conflict exists, and will not vote for an entry if such a conflict exists.
