Andrew Lane, Founder / Digital Content Consultant, nitch*
Andrew Lane is an entrepreneur, a strategist, a marketer and a business person focused in the digital content space. Andrew works as an independent consultant and strategist through his own business, nitch*, which works with content and games producers, publishers, media buyers, broadcasters, brand managers, distributors, businesses large and small, technology companies and government agencies to help bring brands and content to life and reach their audience.
Caitlin O’Donovan, Director of Kids Interactive, Corus Interactive
Caitlin O'Donovan is the Director of Kids Interactive at Corus Entertainment where she leads the strategic direction and operation of sites for YTV, Treehouse, Nickelodeon Canada, as well as Nelvana properties. Previously, she oversaw Corus' Massively Multiplayer Online games, supervised new media production for the CFC Media Lab, and led the design of the TELUS Innovation Fund which invests in emerging forms of entertainment.
Dennis Chenard, Director of Industry Relations, Centre for Digital Media
Dennis Chenard is the Director of Industry Relations at the Centre for Digital Media - Masters of Digital Media Program. Also known as a ‘Director of Hook-Ups’ he has a history of connecting creators, producers, and distributors of digital content with peers from around the world and has worked with a variety of stakeholders in industry, government and education in Canada and abroad. Through his involvement with New Media BC he worked to advance Vancouver and BC as a World Centre of Digital Media and Entertainment while growing the scope of the annual International Partnering Forum (a speed dating event for digital media companies). He both uses and produces social media, with one of his projects being the development of OpportunityAlert.ca, a social networking site for digital media companies around the world.
Kris Krug, Author and Web Strategist
Since publishing ground-breaking online magazine *spark-online, Kris has been working to create a marketplace for community-centric websites and his evangelism has spawned an eco-system of related companies in Vancouver. Kris’ focus is his international photography career, alongside his various involvements in the technology and digital landscape. Kris is a fervent evangelist for open culture and creative commons licensing. Well known in the web social media and blogging community, he frequently speaks at conferences about emerging technology, photography, and creative commons and the media as well as the blurring lines between pro and amateur, shifting copyright standards and using technology to promote and share artistic work.

Michele Perras, MEIC, Project Manager, Ontario College of Art & Design
Michele is a design & research consultant based in Toronto and currently manages the Mobile Experience Innovation Centre, a public-private consortium dedicated to design leadership, strategic foresight and innovation in Ontario’s mobile industry, led by OCAD. Michele has provided expertise and advising in design, strategy and collaborative innovation over the past 7 years for a wide range of organizations in the educational, non-profit and private sectors. Michele has worked with clients such as Motorola, Firefly Foundation, Creative Commons Canada, and BumpTop Technologies, and has taught Material Culture at OCAD.
Peter McNeill, Cdn. Marketing Lead: Tax, Tech, Media/Entertainment, Telco Industries, Deloitte
Peter McNeill leads the Canadian marketing and communication activities for Deloitte’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) industry group. He is responsible for creating the group’s vision and strategy and overseeing the national implementation of industry-leading firm-wide marketing programs, including the annual Deloitte Technology Fast 50TM, the TMT Predictions campaign, and the Global Venture Capital Survey.
Romen Podzyhun, Chairman and CEO, Channel Zero Inc.
Romen co-founded Channel Zero in 2000, which has emerged as one of the most successful independent broadcasters in Canada. Mr. Podzyhun is responsible for developing strategic linkages between entertainment and electronic businesses, and for furthering the company’s content business worldwide through its various interactive platforms Mr. Podzyhun has successfully led Channel Zero’s continuing innovations in original TV programming and expanded its interactive digital networks from inception into national brands.
Susan Kennard, The Banff Centre/BNMI
Susan leads in the training, production, research and development activity of the institute. She facilitates partnership, exchange and dialogue at the local, national and international level. She has extensive experience in policy development, training, and advocacy for the arts and cultural media sectors across Canada; she is the co-founder of radio90.fm, a hybrid net/fm radio station.
Trina Boos, Founder, Ad Lounge
Trina Boos has spent the past eight years of her career driving marketing strategy and helping organizations achieve their business objectives, specializing mainly in the digital space. In 2001, she created Ad Lounge, the largest independently run network for advertising and marketing executives in Toronto. Her organization creates unexpected events that help marketers and agencies stay head of the curve, stay connected, and make us remember why we love the industry that we play in. She's a wrangler of thought leaders, she's a conceptualizer of great ideas, and is one of the most connected young professionals in the advertising industry.
Veronica Holmes, Senior Director, Broadband Events & Innovation, Bell Canada
Senior Director, Broadband Events and Innovation, Veronica is responsible for developing broadband content and application experiences for the Sympatico/MSN portal (www.sympatico.msn.ca). Working with partners such as CTV, Magic Lantern, Tribal Nova, and Canadian music recording companies, Sympatico/MSN Video (video.sympatico.msn.ca) and Sympatico/MSN Music (music.sympatico.msn.ca) continue to draw millions of online Canadians each month. And it's growing at an unprecedented rate. In 2005, Sympatico/MSN delivered more than five times the number of broadband video streams than 2004.
Mike Kasprow, Creative Director & VP, Trapeze Media
Mike’s extensive involvement with the global interactive media space include board positions with the IAB, nextMEDIA, and the Microsoft Research Design Expo, where he volunteers as Co-Chair and Creative Director. Prior to Trapeze, Mike ran the Script Development program of the Harold Greenberg Fund, Canada's largest private script development organization. He was also the New Technologies lead for the Ontario Direct Marketing Centre and freelanced as a story editor and script consultant, working with Alliance Films, Odeon Films, The Canadian Film Centre and The Movie Network. Mike has worked as a film editor, has feature film scripts under option.
