nextMEDIA 2006 presents nextPITCH: The Short-Form Multi-Platform Content Pitch

Give us your best short-form idea for a chance to win development funding!

nextPITCH is the short-form content pitch competition at nextMEDIA. As part of our mandate to enable opportunities for nextMEDIA delegates at the breaking edge of new content creation initiatives, this pitching competition will give ten finalists with innovative ideas for short form content utilizing multiple platforms the chance to compete for development deals with SUN TV. An international panel of judges will hear the ten pitch submissions and choose the top three winners. Winners will receive:

  • First prize: $5,000
  • Second prize: $3,000
  • Third prize: $2,000

nextPITCH offers nextMEDIA delegates an opportunity to enter their best, original, short-form content idea - of any genre or style. Judges will reward submissions that encourage innovation and excellence in content across multiple platforms and SUN TV may also choose to develop the project for broadcast on SUN TV and made available online at Canoe.ca.

Content producers must submit their creative concept proposal online to nextMEDIA. A field of ten finalists will be chosen by a panel of industry judges to pitch at nextMEDIA 2006 (June 9 - 11, 2006 at the Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff, Alberta).

Pitch participants must limit their creative presentations to five minutes.
