Our Chair

Adam Froman is an award-winning entrepreneur and business leader in the area of interactive communications and digital marketing. A long-time advocate for the interactive industry, Adam founded the Canadian New Media Awards in 1998, and it remains Canada’s largest awards initiative spotlighting the talents and successes of the country’s interactive media industry.

Mr. Froman is the President and CEO of the Delvinia Group of Companies and continues to invest in Delvinia’s growth and innovation. In 2004, he launched AskingMedia™, Delvinia’s award-winning proprietary research module which enables Delvinia to deliver a secure solution for testing television commercials online. He has also created the “AskingCanadians™” and “Qu’en Pensez-Vous™” online consumer research panels of 150,0000 Canadians used to conduct field work for online surveys. In addition, Adam leads Delvinia’s strategic development, which is focused on developing innovative products and applications demonstrating the effectiveness of interactive digital technologies in today’s business and consumer environments.

Viewed by many as a leading authority on the interactive ecosystem in Canada, Adam has been behind some of the leading research and development initiatives within the industry, and continues to devote himself to promoting and understanding the potential of Canadian interactive media. In November 2004, Adam was one of six distinguished individuals that were recognized by CANARIE Inc. for having made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of Canada's information culture.

He is an active member of the Canadian Marketing Association where his company serves on both the Integrated Marketing Council and Annual Digital Media Conference. He is also an active member of the Market Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA) in Canada.

Adam has served as an advisor to many interactive media industry funding programs, including Industry Canada's Multimedia Learnware Fund, the Government of Ontario's Interactive Digital Media Small Business Growth Fund, Telefilm Canada’s New Media Fund, and CANARIE’s joint Advanced Research in Interactive Media Fund, a partnership with Canadian Heritage’s Canada Culture Online Program.

Prior to founding Delvinia, he worked at Braxton Associates—the strategy consulting division of Deloitte Consulting—where he developed convergence and Internet strategies for international telecommunications and media clients.

He is an active member of the Canadian Marketing Association and the Market Research and Intelligence Association. In 2007, Adam was elected to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Opera Company (COC), where he is lending his interactive knowledge to help the COC enhance the digital experience for opera goers.
